Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 to 2022. A member of the Democratic Party, Psaki was previously the White House deputy secretary (2009), White House deputy communication director (2009-2011) as well as spokesperson for the United States Department of State 2013-2015, and White House communications Director (2015-2017). Psaki contributed to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki started her career in 2001 with the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki then was appointed the the deputy press secretary of John Kerry's presidential campaign. Psaki served from 2005 to 2006 as the communications director for Joseph Crowley, U.S. representative, and as regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. Psaki returned to politics in 2012 and was the press secretary for President Obama’s 2012 campaign. [20] On February 11 13th, 2013, Psaki became the spokesperson for the United States Department of State. 20 years ago, she was employed by the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the communications director, and she remained until the closing of the Obama presidency.
