Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn Sedgwick (born on 19th August 1965) is an American actor, producer and director. Her role as the main character on the crime drama TNT The Closer as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson is her most famous. Sedgwick won two Emmy Awards in 2010 and 2007 for her performance as Johnson. The series ended after its seventh season. Sedgwick is also famous for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's roles in other films include Oliver Stone's Born of the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Ones (1992), Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) as well as What's Cooking (2000) and Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2013). Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), an educator and speech therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, an investor in venture capital. Her mother was Jewish. Her father was an Episcopalian and of English origin. Sedgwick is a self-described Jewish, and she has claimed that she attends at Passover seders.
